North Cameroon, Safari and hunting

North Cameroon is a real tourist "Eldorado" where you find, by a miracle of nature, a combination of wildlife, landscape and folklore that is of a very rare variety.

Ngaoundere, the sunny gateway to North Cameroon is 50 minutes flight from Yaoundé. You must stop over in Maroua, a town remarkable for its handicrafts and colourful, bustling market that daily attracts tanners, potters, tailors, weavers, dyers, cloth sellers, blacksmiths and all kinds of buyers; but it would be highly desirable to go by the beautifully tarred road that links this town to Kousseri, along the Chad frontier. Mid-way the tourist would get to Waza, where the famous National Game Park is located; the richest, if not the most spectacular, in French- speaking Africa. There are other parks that are complementary to Waza: Boubandjidah, Benue and Kalamaloue.
