SAHEL SAFARI & CULTURAL or BEACH TOUR
The Alantika Mountains are located west of Poli and north of the Faro reserve all in the North province. The region is a mountainous one with the highest point at 1865 m above sea level. It is inhabited by the Koma tribe, a primitive people which is a result of a mixing of pygmy men and Koma women. They have preserved their culture and traditions unchanged over a century. Women here use tree leaves to hide their sexual organs. Below is the Tour Details.

Arrive the Douala international airport ; welcome by a CAMTOURS representative and transfer to a hotel for dinner and overnight |

Day 2 |
After breakfast, board domestic flight to Maroua in the extreme north province ; welcome and transfer to Rhumsiki lodge hotel for overnight |
RHUMSIKI-WAZA |
Day 3 |
After breakfast, visit Rhumsiki village, particularly the crab fortune teller and the coppersmith. If today is a thursday, drive to Tourou near the nigerian border for a visit of the market; overnight at Mokolo. If it is not thursday, the tour continues to the Waza national park via the Koza hills. Overnight |
WAZA NATIONAL PARK |
Day 4 |
Whole day at the Waza national park viewing lions, giraffe, elephants, antelope,waterhogs, birds, etc. Overnight at the Waza lodge |
WAZA-MAROUA |
Day 5 |
Visit Oudjilla village perched on the hill before driving down to Maroua ; visit the local market and the craft centre. Overnight. |
MAROUA-MAGA-POUSS-MAROUA |
Day 6 |
Excursion to Maga and Pouss for a visit of the round mudded huts. Also watch local fishermen at work on the Maga dam. Drive down to Maroua for overnight. |

Day 7 |
Depart early in the morning for Garoua. Visit the kola gorges en route. Lunch at Garoua before continuing to Poli. Visit fulani and fulbe populations. Overnight at Poli |
POLI-WANGAÏ |
Day 8 |
Depart to the Alantika mountains. This region is famous for the primitive Koma people who still remain one of the most primitive people in the entire central african region.
